Worker Sources & Scheduling
Configure content sources, set generation frequency, and manage multiple workers
Automation Workers allow you to set up a "set and forget" system that automatically generates videos from your favorite content sources. Once configured, a worker monitors your chosen source daily and creates a new video whenever fresh content is detected.
This guide covers how to configure sources, understand the scheduling system, and manage your active workers.
Workers are available on Growth, Elite, and Plus plans. The number of active workers you can have depends on your subscription tier.
Configuring Content Sources
To set up a new worker, navigate to the Automations tab in your dashboard and click New Worker.
Supported Sources
You can connect various content sources to a worker. The worker will monitor these sources for new posts or uploads.
YouTube Channels: Automatically turn new long-form videos into short clips.
Blog RSS Feeds: Convert new blog posts into video summaries.
Twitter/X & LinkedIn: Create videos from new posts on specific accounts.
Subreddits: Generate content based on top daily posts from a subreddit.
Step-by-Step Setup
Go to your Dashboard and select the Automations tab.
Click the New Worker button.
Enter a Worker Name (e.g., "Daily Tech News").
Select your source type (e.g., "Content Repurposing").
Crucial Step: Paste the Source URL.
For YouTube, use the Channel URL (e.g.,
https://youtube.com/@channelname), NOT a specific video URL.For Blogs, use the direct RSS Feed URL.
(Optional) Add AI Instructions to guide the style or focus of the video.
Select the AI Video Tool you want to use (e.g., "TikTok Creator").
Click Create Worker to activate it.
Invalid URL Error: If you see an error saying "You can't input a content url as a source," check that you are using a main channel or feed URL, not a link to a specific video or post. Workers need a feed to monitor, not a single piece of content.
Scheduling & Frequency
Workers operate on a fixed daily schedule to ensure consistent content generation.
The 4:00 AM UTC Schedule
All workers run automatically every day at 4:00 AM UTC. This schedule is fixed and cannot be customized to run at different times or frequencies (like weekly or hourly).
The 24-Hour Lookback Rule
When a worker runs, it checks your source for content published within the last 24 hours.
If new content is found: The worker generates one video based on the most relevant new item.
If NO new content is found: The worker will skip generation for that day. It will not use any credits.
If your worker shows an error like "No new content found which is less than 24 hours old," it simply means the source hasn't posted anything new since the last run. This is normal behavior.
Managing Workers
You can manage all your active workers from the Automations tab in your dashboard.
Worker Actions
Pause/Resume: Toggle the switch on a worker card to enable or disable it. Paused workers will not run or consume credits.
Edit: Click the "Update Worker" button to change the source URL, AI instructions, or video tool.
View History: Click the # runs button to see a log of all past attempts, including successful generations and errors.
Delete: Permanently remove a worker if you no longer need it.
Plan Limits
The number of active workers you can have depends on your plan:
Hobby: 0 workers (Automations not available)
Growth: Up to 3 workers
Elite: Up to 5 workers
Plus: Up to 10 workers
Credit Usage
Workers consume credits from your account balance just like manually created videos.
Cost: The credit cost depends on the video length, the AI tool used, and any premium features (like specific voiceovers). There is no extra "fee" for using a worker; you only pay for the video generated.
Zero Balance: If your account runs out of credits, your workers will pause automatically. They will resume generation once you top up your credits or your monthly allowance renews.
Failed Runs: If a worker runs but fails to generate a video (e.g., due to an error or no new content), no credits are deducted.
Where to Find Generated Videos
Once a worker successfully creates a video, you can find it in three places:
Email: You will receive a notification with a link to the video.
Exports Dashboard: The video will appear in your main
/exportslist, tagged with the worker's name.Run History: Inside the worker's history log, click View to watch or Edit to open the video in the editor for further customization.
