Account Settings & API Keys
Overview
Your account settings allow you to manage your personal profile, subscription details, and integration tools. This guide covers how to access your settings, generate API keys for integrations, and join the affiliate program.
Accessing Account Settings
You can access your account configuration from the dashboard:
Log in to your Revid.ai account.
In the left sidebar, click on Account Settings (usually located at the bottom).
Alternatively, navigate directly to https://www.revid.ai/account.
API Keys
API keys allow you to integrate Revid.ai with other applications and automate your video creation workflows.
Requirement: API access is available on the Growth plan and higher. You must have an active subscription to generate and use API keys.
Generating an API Key
Navigate to the Account Settings page.
Locate the API section.
Click Generate New Key (or similar) to create a token.
Copy the key immediately and store it in a secure location. For security reasons, the key may not be visible again after you leave the page.
Using Your API Key
When making requests to the Revid.ai API, include your key in the request header:
key: YOUR_API_KEY_HERE
Each API call costs credits based on the operation. Refer to the API Documentation for detailed usage limits and costs.
Key Rotation
If you suspect your API key has been compromised:
Return to the API section in your settings.
Revoke the old key to block access immediately.
Generate a new key and update your integrations.
Affiliate Program
You can earn commissions by referring new users to Revid.ai.
In the left sidebar, click on Affiliate Program.
This will open your affiliate dashboard where you can:
Get your unique referral link.
View your earnings and performance stats.
Access marketing assets.
Benefit: Affiliates earn a 20% lifetime commission on referrals.
Timezone & Notifications
You can configure your personal preferences to ensure emails and reports arrive at the correct time.
Go to Account Settings.
Look for the Preferences or General section.
Timezone: Select your local timezone from the dropdown menu. This affects when scheduled videos are processed and when daily reports are generated.
Notifications: Toggle email alerts for:
Video rendering completion
Billing and subscription updates
Product announcements
Click Save Changes to apply your settings.
Note: If you do not see specific notification toggles, these settings may be managed automatically based on your browser defaults or plan type. Contact support if you need to suppress specific emails.
