Adding & Customizing Captions
Boost engagement with auto-generated captions
Captions are essential for social media video. They make your content accessible to viewers watching without sound and increase overall engagement. The Video Editor includes a powerful AI caption generator that automatically transcribes your audio and lets you apply trending styles in seconds.
Step 1: Generate captions
Captions are automatically generated from your video's audio track. To access them:
Open your project in the Video Editor.
Click the Captions button in the left sidebar.
The AI will transcribe the audio and display the text on your video.
For the best accuracy, ensure your audio is clear and background noise is minimal.
Step 2: Apply a preset style
Don't waste time designing from scratch. Choose from over 14 verified presets modeled after top creators.
In the Captions menu, select the Presets tab.
Click on a style to apply it instantly. Popular options include:
Hormozi: Bold, high-impact text often used in viral shorts.
Ali: Clean, modern look inspired by productivity creators.
Faceless: Ideal for background video content.
Wrap: Adds a background box to make text pop.
Step 3: Customize appearance
You can fine-tune every aspect of your captions to match your brand.
Switch to the Custom tab in the Captions menu.
Font & Text: Choose from Google Fonts, adjust weight (Bold/Italic), size, and line height.
Colors:
Text Color: The main color of your font.
Highlight Color: Select up to 3 colors to emphasize spoken words automatically.
Stroke & Background: Add outlines or background boxes for better readability.
Use the "Apply to all" toggle to ensure your changes update every caption slide in the video.
Step 4: Position your captions
Ensure your text doesn't get covered by platform interfaces (like TikTok or Instagram UI).
Use the Alignment tools to snap text to Top, Middle, or Bottom.
Adjust horizontal alignment to Left, Center, or Right.
Toggle the Mobile Safe Zone option to see a guide overlay. This ensures your captions stay within the visible area on mobile screens.
Step 5: Edit the transcript
If the AI misheard a word, you can easily correct it.
Click the Transcript tab.
Click on any word to edit the text.
Low-confidence words may be underlined—review these to ensure accuracy.
You can also adjust the timing by adding or removing lines to break up sentences.
Supported languages
The caption generator supports 32+ languages (and up to 100+ depending on the model), allowing you to reach a global audience. Supported languages include English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, and many more.
