Automation & Workers
Setting Up Your First Worker
Automate your video production with background workers
Automation Workers act as your personal video production team, running in the background to create content automatically. Once set up, a worker monitors your chosen source (like a YouTube channel or blog) and generates new videos whenever fresh content is detected.
This guide walks you through setting up your first worker to automate video creation from YouTube channels, blogs, or RSS feeds.
Automation Workers are available on Growth, Elite, and Plus plans. The number of active workers depends on your specific plan limits.
Step 1: Create a New Worker
To start, navigate to the Automations tab in your dashboard.

Click the New Worker button in the top right corner.
Give your worker a descriptive Name (e.g., "Tech Blog Daily" or "YouTube Shorts Repurpose").
Select Content Repurposing as the automation type.
Step 2: Select Your Source
The source is where the worker looks for new content. You must use a channel or feed URL, not a link to a specific video or post.
Supported Sources
YouTube Channels: Use the main channel URL (e.g.,
https://youtube.com/@channelname).Blogs & RSS Feeds: Use the feed URL (e.g.,
https://example.com/feed.xmlorhttps://example.com/rss).
Important: Do not use a URL for a specific video or blog post. The worker needs the main channel or feed URL to monitor for future updates.
Step 3: Configure Settings
Once your source is added, configure how the worker processes content. The settings depend on the tool you select.
For YouTube Sources (YouTube Clip Maker)
Tool: Select YouTube Clip Maker.
Auto Reframe: Enable this to automatically crop landscape videos into vertical (9:16) shorts.
Summarization: Toggle Content Summarization if you want the AI to condense the content.
Extract Count: Set how many short clips to generate from a single long-form video.
For Blog/RSS Sources (Article to Video)
Tool: Select Article to Video.
Voice: Choose a voice for the narration (e.g., "Lily").
Media Type: Select Moving AI Images, Stock Videos, or AI-generated Videos for the visuals.
Screen Ratio: Choose 16:9 for landscape or 9:16 for vertical video.
Import Media: Enable this to use images directly from the blog post.
Click Create Worker to save and activate your automation.
Step 4: Testing and Activation
Workers are activated immediately upon creation, but they do not run instantly. Here is how the schedule works:
Schedule: Workers run automatically once a day at 4:00 AM UTC.
Lookback Rule: The worker checks for content published in the last 24 hours.
No Content Found: If no new content was posted in the last 24 hours, the worker skips the run. No credits are used.
There is no manual "Test Run" button. To verify your worker, check the Run History after the next scheduled 4:00 AM UTC run.
Managing Your Workers
You can manage your active workers from the Automations tab:
Pause/Resume: Toggle the switch to temporarily stop a worker without deleting it.
History: Click the # runs button to view a log of successful generations and any errors.
Edit: Update settings like the source URL or visual style at any time.
If your account runs out of credits, workers will automatically pause. They will resume once credits are topped up or renewed.
